Apr 23, 2015 Autodesk Signs Agreement to Acquire Shotgun Software
Tweak Software & Shotgun are coming together at Autodesk to form one powerful review/collaboration solution. See the below press release from the guys at Tweak Software, and also what Shotgun had to say about it. This is exciting news!
We have a big announcement: We will be joining Autodesk’s Shotgun team! Autodesk has acquired Tweak’s team and technology. After collaborating with Shotgun for years, we have taken the opportunity to combine our tech, teams, and experience under a single (virtual) roof.
The future of production clearly demands tightly integrated collaboration tools to tie together far-flung teams and rapidly shifting workflows. Jim, Alan, and I believe that the best way to serve these demands is to team up with Autodesk’s Shotgun team to build a new generation of practical, powerful, production tools. Autodesk’s support and investment is providing the resources to make all of this possible and to fuel our future plans.
We understand that you may have concerns. We want everyone to know that we’re not going away. The whole Tweak team is joining Autodesk and will be working with the Shotgun team. We plan to continue to develop, support and sell RV. We’ll also continue to collaborate with other companies on integrations. The terms of your existing licensing and support contracts won’t change and will continue to be serviced by our team as part of Autodesk. Our support site will stay in place, and we’ll continue to operate and communicate with all of our customers as part of Autodesk.*
