Maxon & Adobe Announce Cineware & Cinema 4D Lite

First Step in Recently Announced Strategic Alliance Results in Streamlined Workflow and Improved Functionality for Motion Graphics and Visual Effects Artists.

MAXON, leading developer of professional 3D modeling, painting, animation and rendering solutions, today revealed the first step in its strategic alliance with Adobe Systems Incorporated, aimed at delivering a new level of integration between its powerful 3D application CINEMA 4D, and Adobe® After Effects®. The recently revealed next release of Adobe’s industry-leading software will include two MAXON technologies directly within the new Adobe After Effects: CINEWARE and CINEMA 4D Lite.

CINEWARE: The new live 3D pipeline between CINEMA 4D and After Effects, which eliminates intermediate rendering between applications, is made possible by CINEWARE, which establishes a bridge between the two applications. One of the biggest benefits to artists will be seen in a streamlined workflow, enabling them not only to import native CINEMA 4D scenes directly as assets into After Effects but also to utilize CINEMA 4D’s multi-pass workflow as layers. Users will benefit from decreased rendering time because CINEWARE makes CINEMA 4D’s Advanced Rendering Engine available directly inside After Effects. With access to this functionality, rather than having to render every revision, users will now be able to work on CINEMA 4D projects within After Effects and see the changes in real-time.

“This pipeline cannot be found anywhere else to this extent, and it will completely change the workflow of artists in the future,”
says Harald Egel, MAXON’s co-founder and CEO.

MAXON Certified Training Campus Goes Live!

MAXON Computer GmbH, a leading developer of 3D animation and visualization software today announces its “Global Training Initiatives” program for certified MAXON product training. Training is available exclusively at MAXON Authorized Training Centers (ATC). In addition to 3-day basic training programs, specialized intensive training for a wide variety of fields is also available. The MAXON ATC program offers various forms of authorization for trainers and additional training centers with different areas of specialization.

With its “Global Training Initiatives” program, MAXON has established the foundation for a worldwide training standard for CINEMA 4D and BodyPaint 3D. MAXON’s new training program was developed in cooperation with renowned CINEMA 4D professionals and trainers and covers a wide range of uses for MAXON software. The program will be continuously expanded and adapted to new developments and market needs.

MAXON certified training takes place at high-end, well-equipped facilities that are closely monitored by MAXON. Instruction at authorized training centers (ATC) is conducted exclusively by MAXON Certified Instructors (CI). MAXON CIs are experienced professionals with excellent didactic skills who are tested and authorized especially for this training. “In addition to outstanding software skills with MAXON products, our authorization criteria place great value on a high customer service and didactic skill level – because great artists do not necessarily qualify as good instructors,” notes MAXON co-founder and CEO Harald Egel.

All course participants will receive a certificate of participation upon successful course completion. Participants can further opt to take an exam upon completion of training to obtain a MAXON Certificate of Competence. This exam is comprised of theoretical and practical elements and certifies that the participant not only took part in training, but is also fully capable of independently applying the skills obtained. The MAXON Certificate of Competence is a valuable asset for potential clients or employers for accurately assessing an artist’s abilities.

Detailed information about the MAXON Global Training Initiatives program, MAXON partners, pre-requisites for training and training content are available a the MAXON web site at www.maxon.net/campus.
