Autodesk Subscription Changes Coming Soon.

Autodesk Subscription Changes coming soon!

What Autodesk subscription changes are coming? Take a look at the info below, and make sure and contact us as soon as you can.

Autodesk Subscription Changes

If you have an expired Autodesk Maintenance Subscription, you need to read this. This notice is intended to provide you with sufficient time to understand the options, evaluate your needs and take any required action before the change becomes effective. Effective February 1, 2016, Autodesk will no longer allow for the late renewal of Maintenance Subscription contracts after expiration and all subscription agreements must be renewed on time. It is crucial that you do not miss your renewal date!

What does this mean?
You can still renew your expired Maintenance Subscription agreement one year from your contract expiration date but not later than February 1, whichever comes first. Contact your reseller or Autodesk sales representative to renew today. If you choose not to renew, you will still be able to use the version of Autodesk software you currently have, but you will lose access to the following benefits:

New releases of your software
Product enhancements
Previous versions of your software
Home Use Rights
Global Use Rights
Technical support
Cloud credits purchased on that contract
Entitled cloud services
25GB of cloud storage

If you don’t renew your Maintenance Subscription you would need to purchase a new software license in order to get the current version of your software and enjoy the other benefits listed above.

What do I do now?
Contact Motion Media to renew today. Additionally, if your agreement is eligible for renewal and you renew before January 22, 2016, we will waive the late fee (normally $100).

Nov 11, 2013 Autodesk Upgrade Policy Change – No More Upgrades

Autodesk Upgrade Policy Change - No More Upgrades

Autodesk recently announced at their Autodesk Investor Day, effectiveFebruary 1, 2015, Autodesk will discontinue upgrade purchase options for all non-current versions of their products.  Autodesk will still continue to offer customers options to “cross-grade” from a current-release perpetual license to a current-release with greater functionality, such as AutoCAD to a Design Suite.

This basically means that if the current version is Autodesk 3ds Max 2015, and you have 2013, you won’t be able to upgrade at all. You will be required to purchase a new seat of 3ds Max 2015.

What Should I Do?

We would highly recommend keeping your Autodesk Subscription current now through the effective date, and going forward from there in order to maximize your Autodesk investment.  If you are not currently on subscription, we would recommend upgrading to the current version before the effective date and adding subscription at that time. If you plan to be on the cutting edge and utilize the latest and greatest software from Autodesk, having a current subscription plan will be the most cost effective way to do so.

Feel free to call us or email us with more questions, we can help you decide what the best decision is for your company moving forward.

Autodesk Subscription Price Going Up!

Autodesk Subscription is the most efficient and cost-effective way to maintain your software investment. Make sure to keep these advantages. Renew now and benefit from today’s renewal prices* before the price changes take effect on March 28, 2013.

Subscription price change*: Questions and Answers

Why is Subscription pricing changing?
The benefits of Subscription are continuously expanding. In addition to its key advantages with access to new software releases, flexible licensing rights, and technical support, a wide range of powerful cloud computing capabilities has been added to help customers stay ahead of the curve.

While Autodesk Subscription pricing has remained virtually unchanged for several years, significant investment has been made to enable the ongoing expansion of benefits. In line with the increased value offered and to provide more consistency in Subscription pricing ratios across the product portfolio, price adjustments are being phased in.

How is Subscription pricing changing?
In March 2012, Subscription pricing for the majority of Autodesk products was adjusted worldwide. For most products, this resulted in a modest increase to Subscription pricing, while for some products, Subscription pricing decreased slightly.

At that time, applicable Subscription pricing increases went into effect on the sale of new seats, and applicable Subscription pricing decreases went into effect on renewals.

As of March 28, 2013, the cost of renewing an existing seat on Subscription will increase marginally to align with last year’s new seat Subscription price changes*.

When will Subscription renewal pricing changes take effect?
The Subscription renewal pricing changes* will take effect on March 28, 2013.

Does this adjustment affect Subscription renewal pricing for all products?
The Subscription renewal pricing adjustment will apply to the majority of products and pricing adjustments may vary by region. Your Autodesk reseller can provide more details.

Whom do I contact if I have a question about the pricing changes?
Please contact us if you have questions, need more information, or if you would like a presentation of the latest Autodesk solutions and their benefit for your business.
