This year’s NAB was an outstanding show for CalDigit with lots of innovative product announcements for content creators. They announced two new Thunderbolt™ products, and the VRmini 2.

T3 – Cutting Edge Performance for Content Creation.

The CalDigit T3, a three bay RAID storage solution, brings performance, and reliability to the professional content creation industry. Featuring dual Thunderbolt™ ports for daisy chaining, the T3 evolves professional data storage into a modern streamlined Thunderbolt™ based workflow.

With speeds of 850MB/s, the T3 is an ideal solution for editing multiple streams of video.

The CalDigit T3 will be available with three SSDs, or three 3.5” HDDs. The SSD version will be available in capacities of over 1TB, and the HDD version will be available in capacities up to 12TB.

The most innovative function of the T3 is that you can actually mix SSDs, and HDDs. This allows you to RAID two drives, and have a spare drive as a JBOD.

If you haven’t seen the Cinema Camera shipping update on Blackmagic’s forum yet, here’s the most recent post from Blackmagic Marketing Communications Manager, Terry Frechette:

“Wanted to jump on and let everyone know that the status regarding camera shipments has not changed since our update from last week. We are still working out the issues regarding one of the camera’s components that is coming into our factory slower than expected, and do not have a set timeframe for shipping in volume or how many cameras will be shipped this month.

We know that there is conflicting information about shipping dates being talked about, but please understand that when there is an update to share we will be posting that news here on this forum.

We ask that you please be patient with us as we are doing our best to get more stock flowing as quickly as possible, and that we will be communicating to customers and resellers when we have more details.”

Motion Media has many that have been on order since the day it was unveiled at NAB. The line of people waiting increases daily, so get your order in ASAP if you want one!

Matrox Mtx.utils 6.1 provides the following new features on the PC for MXO2 Family and Mojito MAX:
