V-Ray for Softimage Announcement and Crossgrades

Chaos Group notification on the Future of V-Ray for Softimage.

Hello from Chaos Group,

In case you haven’t heard, Softimage is going to be retired after the release of Softimage 2015 this coming May. We will continue to support V-Ray for Softimage artists and we’re working on a Service Pack release to ensure compatibility with Softimage 2015.

We understand that changing software packages is a difficult decision. To hopefully make things easier for you, all V-Ray for Softimage licenses purchased until March 6th, 2014 will qualify for a free crossgrade to V-Ray 3.0 for 3ds Max or V-Ray 3.0 for Maya, once it ships.

Users who crossgrade a V-Ray for Softimage license will receive 1 V-Ray 3.0 Workstation license and 5 Render Node licenses. Moreover, you will be able to use V-Ray for Softimage concurrently with V-Ray 3.0 for 3ds Max or V-Ray 3.0 for Maya for six months after the crossgrade.

For more details, feel free to contact your local reseller vray.sales@motionmedia.com

Thank you for using V-Ray.
