Autodesk Exchange Apps Hackathon – Sep. 20 & 21
Announcing the Autodesk® Exchange Apps Hackathon – and an opportunity to receive up to US$100 per app published and win one of eight iPad minis!
Join Autodesk for this exciting online event September 20 & 21, 2014.
This event is for any publisher who would like to reach Autodesk customers to gain exposure and sales for their apps. Autodesk Exchange Apps provides a centralized storefront for Autodesk customers to find apps that enhance their productivity using their Autodesk products.
Apps can be for any industry – ranging from AEC and Infrastructure to Manufacturing to Media and Entertainment and be anything a customer will find useful:
You may choose to publish a range of apps and web services – from free to trial to paid. For paid apps there is an additional incentive, plus you can now publish your paid apps on monthly subscription to make it easy for customers to try your product or web service.
What is the Autodesk® Exchange Apps Hackathon?
It is a community event held online over two days September 20 and 21, 2014. During this time you will have the opportunity to work closely with other members of the software development community and Autodesk engineers in real time developing new apps for Autodesk Exchange.
The event will be helpful and social – a mix of chat sessions, live Q&A sessions, you might even have private, one-on-one meetings with our specialists. You’ll meet other Publishers “virtually” and learn from their questions too. We’ll also have presentations on specific topics and videos. So, even if you complete your apps after the Hackathon event you can still benefit by learning how to make additional app submissions easier – and get to know the Autodesk Developer Network Exchange Apps team!
Here you will find a collection of resources to help you prepare your App for publishing on Autodesk® Exchange Apps.
Whether this is your first time publishing apps for Autodesk Exchange Apps or if you have published apps before we recommend you start by reviewing the documentation and technical guidelines on the Autodesk Exchange Apps Developer Center.
For live presentations we recommend you view the Exchange Apps Webinar. Here’s a breakdown of the topic segments:
- The growth and business aspects of Exchange Apps by Jim Quanci: 1 minute to 17 minute mark.
- Upcoming new features by Jim Quanci: 17 minutes to 28 minute mark.
- Discussion and demo of new features of Exchange Apps – setting up simple copy protection mechanism, monthly subscription, web services, sample code demos for APIs. Stephen Preston: 28 minutes – 59 minute mark.
